GCV Adult Local Awards – First 600, first 700, 11 in a row, subsequent 300 and 800

GCV Youth Local Awards – First 600, first 700, 11 in a row, subsequent 300 and 800

Dedication Award – This award recognizes a GCV USBC member who has dedicated time and effort to improving their bowling game. This includes practice, participating in leagues and competing in tournaments and overall going above and beyond. Submit by April 1.

Volunteer of the Year Award – This award recognizes a GCV USBC member who has made an impressive contribution to bowling in the Greater Cedar Valley. Submit by April 1.

Top Recruiter Award – This award recognizes a GCV USBC member who has gone above and beyond to recruit bowlers into the sport of bowling. This could include recruiting for new bowlers for league, recruiting for tournament participation or a combination of both. Submit by April 1.

Good Sportsmanship Award  – This award honors a GCV USBC member who has promoted the sport of bowling by their actions and not necessarily by their bowling ability. They treat others with respect and truly make bowling fun when they are around. Submit by April 1.

Roger Yordy Courage & Determination Award – The Greater Cedar Valley USBC is proud to recognize GCV USBC bowlers for their contributions to the sport of bowling in our association. The Roger Yordy Courage & Determination Award will be presented periodically to a member who demonstrates extraordinary courage and determination in their commitment to bowling. Roger is remembered for the tremendous amount of courage and determination he displayed to keep bowling despite a major battle with cancer. His amazing love of bowling and the desire to continue participating in the sport in the face of overwhelming obstacles epitomizes what this award will represent each time it is presented. Submit by April 1.

Ambassador for Bowling Award – The Greater Cedar Valley USBC is proud to recognize GCV USBC bowlers for their contributions to the sport of bowling in our association. The Ambassador for Bowling Award will be presented periodically to a member who demonstrates many years of outstanding service, support and/or dedication to the Greater Cedar Valley bowling association. Submit by April 1.

Bowler of the Year and All Star Teams
These awards will be given based solely on a scoring matrix which assigns point values to individuals based on their performance in leagues as well as in tournaments. Note: Bowlers will be responsible for reporting scoring or
tournament results to ensure points are awarded.

  •  Bowler of the Year Award
    This award recognizes one male and one female GCV USBC member who achieves the top number of points each season (August 1 – July  31). Submit forms by August 15th.
  • All Star Teams
    In addition to the Bowler of the Year, an additional 4 males and 3 females will be named to the All Star Team each season. The members of the All Star Team will be selected based on the number of points achieved for the season (August 1 – July 31). Submit forms by August 15th.Hall Of Fame Forms

Scholarship Forms

Greater Cedar Valley Youth Bowling Scholarships By completing the attached application, you will be considered for up to three scholarships, depending on your eligibility for each. GCV Scholarship, Brad Wilson Scholarship & Adrian Erickson Memorial Scholarship   – Submit by April 20

IOWA STATE USBC SCHOLARSHIP – Submit by March 1
